DIVISION STANDINGS AND DIVISION CHAMPIONS/TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
DETERMINATION OF TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS REPRESENTATIVE
Following the regular Spring season, all Baseball Minors AA, AAA, Majors and Softball Minors and Majors teams will compete in a High Desert Spring tournament for the Division championship. Based upon the same number of games played during the regular season, the team with the highest winning percentage will be considered the first place seed. The team with the second highest winning percentage will be considered the second place seed and so on and so forth.
For Baseball Majors Division only, in the event of a District 3 Tournament of Champions, the first place team of the regular season will advance to the District 3 T.O.C., which is usually played the first week of June.
RULES FOR DETERMINING A WINNER IN THE EVENT OF A TIE
If two or more teams are tied for a position, the following will be the tie breaker:
First Tie Breaker
The head to head win/loss record between the teams that are tied, if there is no clear winner then the second tie breaker is used.
Second Tie Breaker
Least Runs Allowed (RA) during all regular season games
Third Tie Breaker
Total Runs Scored (RS) during all regular season games
Fourth Tie Breaker
Total Run Differential (DIFF) during all regular season games
Note: Once the tie is broken between three or more teams and one winner is determined. Repeat this tie breaker scenario again until each team is properly ranked in order.
